The Cultural Recovery Fund
The project has received funding from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund which is intended to open up heritage and the benefits it brings to everyone.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the individuals, organisations, trusts and foundations who have played a part in rescuing this internationally recognised heritage site so far. Without their generosity, Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings and all the stories that it brings might have been lost forever.
The National Lottery Heritage Fund are the largest dedicated grant funder of the UK’s heritage, and have supported Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings with a grant of £20.7million.
Using money raised by National Lottery players, The National Lottery Heritage Fund inspires, leads and resources the UK’s heritage to create positive and lasting change for people and communities, now and in the future.
