Farrah the Fox is visiting Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings!

26 June 2024

As part of Flaxmill Creates Festival a very special visitor will be joining the celebrations: Farrah the Giant Fox. Standing over 5 metres high and riding a scooter, Farrah can scoot, wave, dance and even shake her tail.

As part of the Flaxmill Creates Festival on Saturday 20 July, Farrah will be parading in front of the Flaxmill Maltings to be greeted by Sabrina, a larger-than life puppet representing the spirit of the River Severn. Come along and give her a wave! She will go on five walkabouts on Saturday 20 July at the following times: 12.45pm, 2.45pm, 3.45pm and 4.45pm. Those without tickets to the Festival can see Farrah on the former-canal towpath to the east of the Flaxmill Maltings, by the A5191.

As a part of the Flaxmill Creates Festival, EEA in partnership with Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings will also be hosting a series of free workshops in Shrewsbury town centre on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 July.

Farrah the Fox was created in partnership by Historic England and Emergency Exit Arts.
