Get involved at Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings

We are looking for volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to help us to deliver a diverse range of activities to the community and visitors. Not only will you be joining a lovely and supporting team, but you will have opportunities to build your CV or offer your valuable skills and experience to our service.

The opportunities are wide ranging. You can help deliver a fantastic visitor experience, giving people a warm welcome to the site and helping visitors with their journey.  This could be in the shop and reception, exhibition and even guiding visitors around the site on a special tour.

There are other ways to get involved. You can assist in the delivery of school visits to the site, with the running of events and exhibitions, contribute to publicity and promotion, and get involved with craft activities.  There are even opportunities to get involved with heritage sewing and site groundskeeping!

Full training is given, and you will be supported by our heritage professionals. Travel expenses can apply as needed.
